Experience and Dedication: I was a volunteer tutor for a year, giving free tuition to kids from low income families. Through my experience, I realised that I had a passion for teaching. My teaching methods include hybrid and discussion based teaching. I will present a problem for the student to solve, listen to their explanations and thought processes before guiding them to the right direction. I also do repetitive exercises so that the students will remember the concepts taught. Apart from these, I also help with the students’ homework, brush up on their weaker concepts, regularly test them and provide model answers to help with their future problems. Teaching is also about inspiring students. During my time as a volunteer tutor, I talked to my students about their educational journey and other subjects that may inspire them to work harder.
