Experience and Dedication: I enjoy teaching children to love the language and to love reading. I believe that languages open the students mind to alot of new ideas that they can explore on their own. My teaching is style is systematic. I alternate between reading comprehension for increasing vocabulary and understanding, with grammar to foster strong sentence structure. Most of the reviews I get from parents is that I am a patient teaching and have helped them children to read better and unlocked their understanding. Some of these children have had teachers or tutors feedback that they have learning challenges but when I teach them I find that they are able to understand the material, they just needed more encouragment.

Qualification: University
Type of Tutor: Part Time Tutor
Experience (in year): 1 - 2 Years
Experience and Dedication: I tutored three 10th-grade students in math and chemistry at a tutoring center in Chengdu, and all of them showed improvement. One student, in particular, made the most significant progress, moving up 13 places in their class ranking for math alone. I tutored a high school freshman in chemistry. The student had a weak foundation in the subject and typically scored around the passing mark on regular exams. By helping the student develop a study plan, fostering the ability to learn independently and think critically, improving study efficiency, and solidifying the foundation, I helped the student develop a good problem-solving rhythm and approach. I also covered some material from the second semester of seventh grade to clear obstacles for future learning. After one summer of tutoring, the student’s ranking improved from 27th to 13th in the class on the back-to-school exam.
